The project is called "The Chosen's Way". Shortly – it's Fallout 2 recreated in 3D using Fallout New Vegas engine, which you, perhaps, were looking for. But it's not quite so. The basis is of course Fallout 2 and we are striving to recreate it as faithfully as possible, but we also intend to recreate the cut-content found in the Fallout 2 Restoration Project along with the addition of a couple new things. Some of these "new things" will be based on the work of other authors (Fallout 2 MegaMod), but some of them will be our own original ideas. Naturally, game mechanic will undergo many changes. We won't make forced and stangely implemented "turn-based action" or zoom out the camera up and at an angle, proudly calling it "an isometric", because we know the difference between perspective and other methods to specify the image. Similarly, we won't go nuts, throwing out everything that we see now but haven't seen in Fallout 2, whether it's weapons, armor, or a new abilities.
As a result, the range of items will cover both the second part and Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas. Quests and dialogs will remain almost untouched, except for some nuances, but even in the "old quests" we'll add new phrases in dialogues or possibilities of an alternative completion. Character improving system doesn't replace the list of perks and traits, but combines almost all existing, of course, with adjustment under the current balance. Innovations, such as the Hardcore mode in Fallout New Vegas, are fully utilized in our project and apply everywhere.
We aim to reproduce all classic content in the most reliable and similar way to the original images and the real prototypes, and sometimes it takes more time than we would like. Often, we don't have enough time to answer dumb questions like "why that thing has another color", so we're trying to show all the content only in the very close to the final stage, hence the irregular updates .
